Dr. Jack (Jay) Emile Saux, III was born in Lubbock, Texas. After his father completed his service in the United States Air Force the family returned home to New Orleans to raise Jay and his two sisters. Jay graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans and completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of New Orleans. He attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans and after completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge began private practice in Napoleonville, Louisiana as an internist. He continued working “down the bayou” teaching at Leonard J. Chabert Hospital in Houma and returned to New Orleans in 1996 to begin a fellowship in oncology at Tulane University Medical Center. He continued teaching internal medicine residents during his fellowship and completed his fellowship in 1998. He began practicing hematology oncology in St. Tammany Parish in the fall of 1998. Dr. Saux cares for patients with many different types of oncologic and hematologic illnesses. After being approached by Dr. Katherine Williams regarding her ideas for a women’s sexual health clinic, he attended the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona and saw the assistance he could provide to many of his patients who have sexual dysfunction. Dr. Saux thinks that invitation from Dr. Williams to participate in the Southern Institute for Women’s Sexual Health by providing consultative advice to women who have a history of cancer, in particular breast cancer, will help women take steps to a more fulfilling life. Appropriate oncological sexual counseling for women with cancer or a history of cancer prior to beginning a course of treatment for sexual dysfunction allows for an informed decision. Knowing the risks and benefits of a particular therapy are paramount in helping women decide how to move forward as they continue to thrive and survive.

Michael Holmes  I have been the Chief Executive Officer for Diagnostic Imaging Services, Inc. for almost eight years. I have been in healthcare in various sectors for over 30 years. I have lived in six states but moved to the New Orleans area in 2009 with my family. My wife grew up on the West Bank, so returning to New Orleans was an easy decision especially since there is crawfish and Mardi Gras. I have a senior daughter at Fontainebleau HS and a sophomore son at Archbishop Hannan HS. Both were adopted from Russia and are biological brother and sister. My wife and have had been married for 21 years. We also have two boxers living with us. I am passionate about helping patients and providers at work who have been diagnosed with cancer as well as prevention of such disease. My company does over 30,000 mammogram procedures a year and certainly thousands of more cancer related studies with our MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine and other pieces of equipment. Most recently in my professional life, I was asked to take on the challenge of raising funds for the American Cancer Society in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. I am proud to say with the support of 76 friends and family members, I won the challenge by raising over $11,000 and will now be the chair of Real Men Wear Pink in 2017. The real reason behind my passion for helping organizations like You Night is my wife Collette. She has survived five different types of cancer starting with a rare adenoid cystic carcinoma at the age of 17. From the 6,000 rads of radiation she received to cure her of the cancer, she has over the last five years had numerous surgeries from the radiation damage to her thyroids, breasts, skin and ear canal. She has also had issues with teeth and bone deterioration due to the large amount of radiation used to rid her of the first cancer. She is a remarkable women! In fact, Ochsner believes she is the longest living survivor ever of ACC.

Gayle went from a successful one- chair salon in the upstairs attic of her house, to embracing the widely popular blow dry bar concept that is swarming the country. Her husband Mike has always been supportive and encourages her to share her talents and dream with upcoming stylists. Together these two work hand-in-hand to keep their team focused and inspired. They strive to make the culture of Air totally different then your typical salon. As owners they are passionate and supportive to their staff. Stylists’ benefits include health insurance, dental/vision, and paid vacations, as well as working in an atmosphere where the focus is on teamwork rather than competitiveness.
